Inspiration


I wanted to make a game like "Getting over it" but simpler and not a ripoff I first thought of instead of a hatchet how about a floating gun that propelled the player in the direction of the cursor.

My next idea was to just use the cursor  while removing the gun part  but keeping the same idea intact.

Turns out the way I was looking at the one button game was slightly off and didn't conform with the actual aim of the project, with the great feedback I received from peers and my professor I was able to come to a solution.

The solution was to just figure it out, I didn't have a eureka moment while making this game, it just sort of happened when I was trying to make the character do something else which was to hold click to jump. 

Instead clicking made the character move forward and jump at the same time, I play tested and put more obstacles and thought "damn this works ". After that, I added another choke point that was actually surprisingly tricky even with custom hitboxes. 

That brings us to the game now where I want the goal for players to just do it as fast as possible, I hope to add more goals and obstacles in the future.
